Yandere Sim actually looks like a lot of fun. I should try that, sometime. Playing the game, that is. Not stabbing everyone who makes a move on my one true lurve.

I filled my fortress's temple with statues and tantruming dwarves to test out the desecration code. After fixing up a bug with tantrums that stopped them from toppling the statues, it worked out pretty much as hoped... one werepanda, one weretortoise, one wereskink, and two vampires. It wasn't a full moon, so I had to wait to see the werebeasts, but the new vampires didn't have secret identities, so they showed up immediately as red monsters. One of my miners killed one with a pick axe, though I'm not really sure if it was over the vampireness or not. There are obviously a lot of ways this could go, and right now the game is just using the unsubtle easy one. We'll see if there's some hiding of details in some cases, but we might not get to it for this time.

I also ensured that the player can be cursed in the default town temples as well as retired player temples.

The next version of DF is going ot be so amazing. Dwarf goes to the temple to relax while angry, and tantrums? Enjoy your new werecreature!

I'm still sort of sad that tantrum spirals were neutered.

So, MGSV:TPP is pretty great, as in I haven't enjoyed a game this much on every level it shows me in a LONG time.

I know Konami is fucking dumb, but seriously I think it's worth the evil in giving them money to play this.

Took my first ever train ride. If it wasn't for the fact I have to wait nearly an hour, and getting a ride to the station, it wouldn't be a bad way to ride home from work. Oh well. I also learned that two of my co-workers live in the same general area, so I might have carpool options.

Fed my snake for the first time today and now he's got a cute little lump in his body. :)

Watching him eat was pretty entertaining too. :)

Nothin' like a cold beer on one of the last hot, sunny days of an American summer...especially since in two days I'm catching a flight to St. Petersburg's grey, drizzly gloom. I took a swim in the campus pond this afternoon. It was glorious.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

You guys must have a clean pond. Ours is about 30% slime by volume.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
