This thread.
'Nuff said.
...I can literally copypasta all of this to the WTF thread and have it make sense.
Here goes.

Probably because he wanted it.
That's a big part of it.

If you don't mind me asking, why was your ex opposed to your kid attending this better school?
She was going to school in wife's town, which is an hour away from me. So, she had a short drive and my wife and I got punished because I took my current job. Also, it was what I wanted, so it was automatically bad. Now, the school is way better, but half an hour from both homes. It's better enough to offset the drive, though.

Apparently, my dog has taken to check up on me regularly.

Whenever I half close the door of my room, she will push it open and enter, to either sit down or just look and leave. Even in the middle of the night, which is totally not creepy at all and makes me question how deep and regular her sleep is.

She sure is alerted by the squeak of my door and likely has linked it to me being behind some obstacle from which I must be rescued, but the question is, is she doing this out of protectiveness, following some kind of pack instinct, or has simply associated the sound with the possible delivery of food, with me being her food provider and all?

I loathe to project human characteristics and constructs on animals, but, either way, whether she's truly checking up on me, or, more self-servingly, anticipating being taken care of, it's kinda heartwarming.

Probably was. I'm going to force myself to learn programming, so if nothing else I'll have an excuse to stick around. XD

-stuff-

That's adorable! :D

I saw some dogs today myself. Two of them were sitting on barstools, which is both strange and incredibly cute.

When my dog does something like that, its usually because she wants me to follow her, say to let her out or feed her, for belly rubs, etc. But hey, dogs don't make too much more sense than people do. God only knows what she's actually doing. She could very well have separation anxiety and has to check and make sure you're still there every few minutes or she'll go nuts. My dog has separation anxiety too, but she waits until she's seen us leave in the car to throw a tantrum.
