Bunch of people here play Dom 4.  Every attack animation is 2 frames.  The creatures have no other animations.

Got Unreal World today, and after dying after a few days once or twice I've finally got myself a relatively successful character. I'm stuck on a rocky island (it won't let me cut planks to make a paddle because it would take too long) but still enjoying it.

Have only like a thousand bucks left from my tax return so before I do something wildly dumb like spend it on plastic miniatures, I'm gonna get me a sick new vacuum cleaner with the space age looking shit and trimmings and whatnot and why am I getting so excited about a goddamn vacuum cleaner.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

pancakes
grated cheese
teach me your ways sensei
Two eggs. Splash of milk. Handful of flour. Pinch of salt. Mix/beat/whisk together, and squish out any lumps.
Get a frypan. Put a little bit of oil in said frypan. Make frypan hot. Pour pancake mix into frypan. Wave the frypan around to spread pancake mix evenly as it cooks.
When the top side of the pancake is solidified, flip it over. I use a spatula. If you're GOOD CHEF (and the thing hasn't stuck to the bottom) you can flip it by throwing it into the air.
Once the bottom has cooked (no idea how long this takes) take the cake out of the pan and lay it out on a plate or something.
Add toppings. I like cheese, or fruit jam for desserts. Rolling it up is also a thing you can do to fit more than one on a plate.

If it breaks apart you didn't use enough flour. If it's too floury you used too much flour. Don't use much salt for sweet pancakes.

I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles lately, and I'm finding it quite enjoyable. It keeps surprising me, mostly in good ways, and most of the bad ways are the result of feeling gutpunched by the events in-game rather than me hating how the game or plot works. It looks and sounds really good for a handheld title and while the controls are slightly clunky I've never felt cheated out of victory by them. My losses are my own fault (so far).

If it's too floury you used too much flour.

Just because softer sweets are newer doesn't make them better. There's more variety in hard sweets.

EDIT: Though come to think of it I'm not sure where most of the sweets in Yorkshire Mixture actually comes from, since I don't think many of them are made individually any more.

Time to get the second decade started! Also Tchibo randomly decided to gift me a free coffee and cake so it's a literal cakeday.
