Learning Javascript is going well. I've already managed to make a little black dot move around on a canvas after about an hour of trial-and-error. That's much, much farther than I've gotten with a lot of engines and languages.

So, apparently my NAPLAN came back, and my maths is far above average even without a calculator during the calculator required sections of the test, my reading skills are at about the top belt, persuasive writing, while not as good as the others, still average and spelling is also at the top belt.
Oh effort, I do love you so.
I got mine back too. I thought I'd fucked up the persuasive writing but no, no I didn't. And you did well in the maths without a calculator! I fucked it up with a calculator.

I'll tell you this right now, your intelligence does not do shiznit if you don't focus during maths, it doesn't matter how much grey matter (Tiny pun intended) you have, if you don't know how to do a calculation, you're screwed.

It was more that I'd decided to not give a fuck about my mark a quarter of the way through the test. Usually I care too much about tests so deciding not to care was quite... Liberating.

I somehow find this hard to believe.

...and one hit. Okay I guess you're right.

Nah, gelbooru managed to bring up 10 or so that are actually explicit. Its all a matter of knowing where to find the skeeviest weaboos' stashes.

... mind you, only ten or so is still basically nothing, especially compared to the empornening* monolith that is touhou. I've seen less, but quite rarely.

...Do you play videogames? If so, buy one.

If you don't, buy a book you've been wanting to read?

If you don't have any, do you draw? If so, a new notebook or some art supplies are a good idea.

Those are basically the only things I ever buy, so beyond that I'm useless.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

If you don't already have one, USB controller. Think you can nab one for 10-15, including shipping? Something along those lines. Then use the rest on cheap but good stuff. Don't fall into the trap of thinking you have to buy one thing, or that only stuff over X dollars in price is a good buy. Possibly save the money for the winter game sales or somethin', if games are your primary interest.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
