I just watched the Bojack Horseman series.

It's sad and depressing, but in a good way. I don't know how to say this.

All pies are great. Meat pies, fruit pies, mousse pies, whatever derby pie counts as. I should make a pie soon.

That sounds like Wilfred, which is pretty good.

(because this monsoon is  :-X Raining daily = troubles for the internet line...in the least)

Rain makes your net go down? Is your country's infrastructure made from cardboard or something?

Or did your government just not plan for rain?  Kinda reminds me of how *every year* everyone is surprised when it snows and there's no grit and cars start tumbling down hills. I think one winter when we had it bad, they had the bright idea to rent all of the snowplows to France. What even.

We have rain from the Ring of Fire. It's not normal rain. :P

Actually our internet is satellite connection...so occluding weather does NOT help much.

Yeaaah... there's rain, and then there's rain that uproots trees (roads, buildings, people, etc.). Wind contributes :V

Monsoon's the kinda' rain that there's only so much infrastructure improvements can do anything about (especially without it becoming prohibitively expensive). Much like good ol' hurricanes. Lotta' times the only real answer to the weather problem is not to live where that weather frequents.

Humans haven't really internalized the message that meteorologically active coast lines, fault lines, volcanoes, etc., are not good places to live :P

I live in Australia and the Internet seems to slow down when there's rain. It's weird.

My dsl line would always go down whenever it rained, because of copper wires twisted together in the open.

Totally.  And a couple of the episodes really made me think about certain issues.  It's always a nice surprise to see a dark comedy show be occasionally thought-provoking as well.  The best part is it doesn't have to pick a side, it just portrays both sides as highly flawed and lets the viewer search for answers on their own.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.
