Today I got well enough to return to volunteering duty at our local Psych Clinic. [And well enough to do most things in general -.-]
They knew it was my birthday a week+ ago (and as mentioned in the long text below, have had 2 other birthday celebrants in the team: Teacher/Student].
Today, I got a surprise cake + presents! T'was a surprise because
everyone was busy with everything [ie Packing documents, assorting files, printing guides and notes for future seminars and generally getting ready to go all around our mountain province to deliver seminars to several
barangays in the area about Psychological First Aid. {Totally for the benefit of the people~♥ ♫♪}]
The best thing was that this
happened a week prior [when I was
pretty much K.O'd by sickness; the weather didn't help] with the rest of the birthday celebrants; they got cake and a celebration in our tiny clinic--was supposed to be a three-fold birthday celebration.
...But they got me a cake even after all that. Especially given that the days I was supposed to volunteer only had a VERY brief interval of announcement-by-text-messages AND that I only started volunteering this summer {~June} ._.;
So I'm happy again of their dedication, commitment, and detail-to-the-small things. [A..cake. omg. x_x]
And I got a present signed by the whole Psych clinic team.
...It was written with wit. Loveable wit.
Card as follows:
July 2015
<Tiruin>,
You are a unique human being. Celebrate your uniqueness!
Happy Birthday!
♥ your Psych Clinic Family
With real name redacted.
But yeah. Happy day through the heavy rain and wind. Also hooray for local emergency response teams in clearing up local problems
quickly! [Several trees, seen along or near the roads have fallen or have been tilted precariously due to the non-stop monsoon rains. Being in a mountainous region--trees and such are
everywhere around.].
I am also happy to not be -that- sick after one week of being x_x
Health problems are not nice. Hooray natural defenses!
Now to get on the backlog of 1 week of things-that-happened-on-B12. Because families are awesome.
