STOP DERAILING MAH HAPPIES
We're actually diverting the flow of happies to affect more happies. :P
It's less 'railroad'. It's more 'flood'.

Happy: Snowy Owl In My backyard. ._. I think it has a nest very close by our home amongst the many pine trees there (when your backyard is a forest, there are a few benefits than the constant appearance of ants or insects aside, like the harmony of birdcalls and the sunrise and sunset illuminating the leaves and trees.)
Also another happy is that our home is on a mountain (plateau), meaning: Glorious sunset/sunrise.

And coyotes! Can't forget the coyotes. Well, in North America, at least...

What's the biggest predator you have there in the Philippines, anyway?

...It depends where. :P
Personally, there's a lot of predators--but depending on context, its very hard to pinpoint what.
I think you mean land animal predator native to here so...I really am unsure.

Also we've got Eagles. I think this is it. My knowledge of local zoology is low in specifics. :-\

Today, I spent most of my day playing the game Saints Row The Third with a friend. I died of laughter approximately seventeen times. Hooray!

Birbs. All the lovely birbs. I hear an owl around this apartment complex somewhere every night, though I'm not sure where.

We've got coyotes in the hills and marshes too, but one of them got rather bold lately and attacked a little girl in the presence of her parents, so their numbers are probably about to decline. But probably no part of that belongs in the happy thread.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Wait, Phillipines don't have cassowaries?
We're not as blessed as Australia to have local fauna naturalized under that name.

ALso you spelled it right last time we talked! D:< :P

i thought you were the natural predator

just vibrating around pouncing people in the dead of night in yukon or similar ontarian territories dragging them off into bushes and continuing to pounce until all their precious bodily fluids are drained

and then you go find another till the night is due
