In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Kate Beaton's Twitter comics make me happy
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I don't get it.

What next, are people going to use colored text in every post to make up for their lack of character?
I seem to remember someone who used to put people's usernames in bold whenever they mentioned them. Made me think of LoZ.

miauw62, you must go to General Discussion and retrieve the mystical MacGuffin Thread in order to save all of Bay 12 Games Forums!

EDIT: Also, when did WorkerDrone get back? Has he just been lurking this whole time and I never noticed?

But first, you will need the powerful treasure of the Fairy's Post, hidden deep within the Forest Thread, filled with dangerous forumites, pal.

EDIT: Even better. I'll start prefixing all of my posts with

Happy!
My drunk cooking last night didn't kill me, and in fact the leftovers tasted good today.  Way too much curry powder and onions, but somehow the right amount of salt.  I even managed to refrigerate them (so the fish didn't go bad).

My normal cooking is like drunk cooking. I don't want to know what my drunk cooking would be like.
