There are people who almost literally would do that, if alcohol wasn't absorbed by the gut - nasty and rare colonization of the intestine by fungi, specifically, a guy I read about had that and he was basically the lamest superhero - half-man, half-still - and he ended up having to maintain a special, low-sugar diet because he'd get drunk from the fermentation.

And if you think he had it made, he had to drop out of college because he was, unwittingly, perma-smashed and... well, obviously not optimal to learning.

I can't stand the taste of alcohol, either; even the fruitiest cocktail is still a bit bitter for me.  As for being a baby, it could be, but then again, I can't stand coffee for the same reason, but my four-year-old niece took her coffee straight.  So, yeah, young kids rank above me when it comes to bitter stuff. ^_^
