You can buy a jacket that is the same design as Adam Jensen's.

Nah, it might be a trenchcoat but it looks to be designed to fit a person more, unlike the more euphoric type which is pretty baggy in order to cover up any undesirable physique features.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Better than the official one by far, but the material... ugh, it's sewn from bodybags composition-wise.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

As neat as some of their stuff looks, I can't help but think

Yo, that's $50 for a t-shirt!
And that's not even getting into the several-hundred-dollar coats. I'm sure it's cheap in "fashion" terms but that only reinforces how ridiculous that industry is.

Yeah, I don't have the money to buy anything I can see on their store, but it sounded like it'd be entertaining to get a look.

This. The people in my school are extremely anti- ...Well, pretty much everything a fundie has ever spoken out against. Especially homosexuality. To the point I hear almost daily about how much they want to kill the fags.
Isn't that illegal? Hate speech, I mean.
"What do you mean you are being murdered? That is illegal, people can't do that!"

I think the implication is "couldn't someone press charges?/threaten legal action?"

I know that a school district around where I am has/is gotten/being sued because they failed to do anything about bullying, which included hate speech...

Indeed. I probably should have been more specific.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Finally got around to digging around in SoundCloud's panty drawer (Why is the women's sexual exploration dressing a guy in drag?) for a bit, and found a new way of niggling out a .m3u file that can be easily converted to a single .mp3 off any track. If I were less lazy (or maybe more lazy) I'd write a new script to automate bits of the fairly weird process, but I'm content with doing it manually for now.
