So I hear, but that's how I tend to do it as well when they aren't prohibitively long (5 single-spaced pages tends to be my limit for reasonable quality in a day).

EDIT: Revision does help, though. Got a "Beautifully argued" comment on a law essay I wrote a couple weeks back, still smug about it. Professor is the sort who has high expectations for essays, as well (and is annoyed at the tendency to only teach people how to write research papers of late).

I write my best essays when I'm pissed about something. All of my best essays are about things that I hate.

8-pager due tomorrow that I haven't started. 20-pager due Tuesday that I haven't even started researching for. Going to be working for the next 12-14 hours hosting an event for a passive-aggressive drama queen bitch who thinks ~$4/hour is a princely sum to get better service than the fucking Governor and university president and refuses to start herding people out by half an hour after the event ends (going by the past few days). Going to call campus security about a "crowd control issue" if she tries it again. This is the field where I grow all of my shits; as you can see, it is barren. (a wonderful man 2014)

Serendipity: The charge dead phone I needed access to, to help an old man transfer cellphone numbers, was compatible with my kindle's plug-in thingjigger. +1 aided elderly get!

Only took like an hour, hour and a half to get everything through the automated machines and tech support. I call that pretty good timing, ha!
