I was disappointed to see that it wouldn't be doing it in one go. Doing short hops over five months is way less impressive then just flying all the way around the world. Maybe the next solar plane...

They select students from the top third of the school to try for entering and then those students have to meet certain requirements such as doing community service, being a good student, showing traits of leadership, taking harder classes, etc.
There are four specific fields that you have to have at least one point in to be able to enter and in total you have to have thirty points.
I got about 2/3 of my points from academics and community service

The Raven levels, if you can find them, are a classic in regular Doom (actually, Doom 2). I think they'd be even better in Brutal Doom.
