I've got something even better- a false-alarm snow day. Predictions of ice have so far completely failed to materialize.
So you don't get to go to class, and you don't get to enjoy the weather? Sounds to me like the worst of all possible worlds.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Well, the "weather" in this case was a prediction for two inches of ice, so there wasn't much enjoying to be had. It IS Oklahoma.

Also in happy news, my anti-SAD light came in the mail yesterday, and I'm currently enjoying the most productive day in weeks. These things are amazing.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Isn't German supposed to be fairly english to learn?

The problem with living in Flagstaff is that because the city runs such a good snowplow service the college doesn't really cancel for any weather. I mean seriously, we got hit by the big storm too, and all we got out of it was half a day off, after 6 hours of 50-ft visibility in a blizzard. It took them that long to finally decide that they guess they had to cancel. I mean seriously, you get more cancellations because the professors decide they don't want to drive in the weather than you do because the college is closed. :P

It's moderately English-ish, but not to a tremendous extent. Also Lemonpie's a Dutch speaker I think.

I'm pretty sure German is closer to english than Spanish is so it can't be too hard
And isn't Dutch also German based? Or am I just way off?
