I don't know about you, but videogames really messed up my grades during. Ym first year of freedom.

I think the main problem about videogames is that parents either regulate it too much (NO VIDYA GAEMZ EVUR) or too little (Oh, little Jimmy is murdering people for fun and profit in GTA DCLXVI and is not old enough to understand the consequences of it in real life? Who cares.)

My parents at least tried to regulate vidya games. Limiting the amount of time we were allowed to play, making sure homework was done first, and so on. Though I was playing things like Turok before I even hit my teens <_<;

They put a strict 1-hour-per-day limit on my siblings and I, against which I strained for the longest time. Then that become more "guidelines." Then, on getting the freedom of college, I find I have neither the time nor the inclination to game much.

Lack of access to vidya or what have you seems to have no bearing on my distraction. When I can't focus, I'll wind up reading a novel or something. But I believe I'd have been much worse without the regulations.

Just found out that the name of the current winter storm we are experiencing where I live is "Thor", leading to the awesome sentence "Thor has blanketed Flagstaff in snow!" :))
