Dunno what you read. That Newton thing is just a very interesting (and very interestingly named) philosophical razor.

T'is a long read. Moderately depressing, though this is mostly because of the steps the dude takes.

You know that feeling when you work out a thing is a crowdfunding scam? Man that's a good one.
Computer chair investigating is a pretty good activity, can recommend, 8/10.

I started watching Fist of the North Star. I'm just glad that it exists. I didn't know anything about it at all before I started watching, so I really wasn't prepared for a premise like "Kung Fu Jesus punches and head-bursts his way through the apocalypse".

i quote things like "you're already dead" to my friends and they have no fucking clue what i'm on about

Is this the series or the movie thing? (the animated one...)

I could never really get into the series. Ken is a bit OP.

Today I learned about Newton's Flaming Laser Sword.
I'm going to use that so much.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Earl Grey is fine, too. But I am compelled to try new things, regardless of their utility.

Well that's good.

I just like feigning over-reaction to fairly mundane things.

I have a bizarre habit of trying new things, absolutely hating it and then reflecting a few days later with a "well I actually quite liked that..."
