The laundry basket was full of someone else's clothes, so I used a milk crate instead.
I feel like such a badass.

Also, I got paid today, after a lengthy period without pay due to some missed appointment I was never told about beforehand.

Had a good three days of school! Wish it was 5, but after 6 canceled days due to the ridiculous amounts of snow, I don't really care. Ahh, sweet, sweet silence. Of course, my sister is freaking out about the play she's in, and the intermittent periods of shouting and sleeping aren't very conductive to rest, but that'll be over soon and it's far better than the tail-end of the 'break', because at least she's quiet sometimes. She's stopped looking this up and playing it over and over at a volume loud enough to be heard through the whole house to attempt to bother me, which is nice.

Just discovered a pretty good wubstep mix MP3Jack's Equestrian Onslaught vol. 1 (5 Hour Ponystep Mix)
While brony related wubcore isn't everyone's cup of tea, I finally have something appropriate to test my new sub with while reading....

Time for an actual happy and not a troll happy.

I'm a big fan of tabletop RPGs. While describing Endless Legend (PC, 4X) to our DBA, I likened it to the old Expedition to the Barrier Peaks AD&D module (extremely simple relation - Vaulters come from a crashed space ship and don't know it, civilizations build wonders that are actually restored pieces of ancient tech, etc). Turns out that was one of his favorite modules. Such a favorite, in fact, that he translated all of the stats to be usable in Ars Magica. Long story short, he claims he no longer has a sentimental attachment to his games - he hasn't played for ~20 years. Now there are two moving boxes in my trunk full of 80s gaming books, all for the price of lunch some day.

That was the happy. Now for the sad: We transferred them to my car before work started at 8:00. I have to wait until ~18:00 to look through them.

Database administrator. He makes sure the databases used by the other half of product development are performant, have proper permissions, etc.
