Only people who have been around enough to be considered a member of the community, even if just a minor one, are put up there. Trolls, Spammers, ect. are simply wiped from existence.

(int)Magicmissile was banned for making the third Zoe Quinn thread; Gervassen showed up on my original gender issues thread (yes, the first major one was mine!) and trolled by yelling about how steroids are necessary for true masculinity; another guy near the bottom, I recall, was a typical troll.

Putting [REDACTED]'s name into the modlog would bring Bay12 to be more closely associated with him due to search results. Unpersoning him is the way to go.

And to that extent, it might be a good idea to edit out the name itself, so it doesn't draw attention.
Might just be me being paranoid, but still.

This question actually comes up fairly often. I've asked about it at least once and seen other people ask 3-4 times. You could probably search the emotion threads for it if you want to know.

Not talking about people banned for trolling in general, I'm talking about people who join and immediately get to trolling for the sake of trolling.
