I just discovered that my name, Martijn (pronounced as Mart-aye-n), means "He who is dedicated to Mars", which is pretty cool :P.

Driving is fun until you only ever use it to drive to work and classes and discover it's actually really tedious.

...

Also, what is an SSN, exactly? In NZ we have IRD numbers, but that's mostly just for tax and student loans. No, I can't be bothered using Google.

There is something soul destroying about doing the same drive every day. Also, the sheer cost of running/maintaining a vehicle is a fucking killer.

You guys should do what I do and sing along all splendourous and gloriously to music. It also helps me relax from the morning stress.

Driving is fun until you only ever use it to drive to work and classes and discover it's actually really tedious.

Driving is and will always be awful and terrifying. It's a really heavy vehicle being driven around by a sack of meat whose mind cannot even comprehend the forces involved with propelling them forward, sharing the road with hundreds of others, many of whose sacks of meat aren't even aware of the fact.

Wait, your name is Martijn too? *high fives*.
I never really cared about my name and martijn.org, but one of my friends, whose name is also Martijn, got bullied because his name was Martijn. They all called him a disgusting Pedo.

I remember when my brother was learning to drive.

Me: "Just try to not think about the fact that you're controlling a multi-ton metallic object hurtling at absurd speeds mere inches away from other multi-ton metallic objects that are hurtling at insane speeds in the opposite direction."
Brother: "I don't."
