If I ever went vegitarien I would take the diet where fish is an ok meat for consumption just to make sure I'm not missing any important nutrients, that and fish is extremely healthy
that is... not vegetarian. that is pescetarian.
If you eat an animal of any sort, any of the veg prefixed diets are not what you are following.
I remember my sister had a friend who said she was vegetarian but ate chicken. You are still an omnivore if you eat chicken, you are just eating meat selectively, probably because you like it more (red meat vs chicken, neither is that great for you, chicken isn't an improvement health wise.)
It is very hard to not get all the vitamins you need being vegan these days. If it was something I was worried about, I would just consume more soy milk because they fortify that stuff with a ridiculous amount of vitamins. But it's extremely easy. Having people say "clearly you don't get enough protein/b12/omega 3/whatever else" can be frustrating when I'd be dead by now if I was missing anything.
Heheheheh, Veganism..... it's like Vegetarianism, but even harder a lifestyle to maintain. I've never quite understood why one would willingly live without animal derived products/foods.
Vegetarians are all hypocrites or are just not doing their research anyway, the dairy and egg industry is just as bad as the meat industry, and the two are intrinsically interlinked. It's really just arbitrarily deciding what cruelty you don't want to participate in.
I just don't go for the taste of meat. Morality doesn't really cone into it for me. We get most of our eggs free range anyway, but the milk... Eh. The rest of my family eats fish anyway, so *shrug*
well, if it did, I would suggest some research into free range. Usually it means packed to the gills in a barn with a window or two up top, with all the other awful things that come with the egg industry. Not to preach, but all those labels of humanely sourced and free range are to make the consumer feel better. When I am buying meat or eggs and such for my parents, I actually avoid those products because the labels are dishonest and misleading.
