The vast majority of gender issues threads last year got locked.
In fact I think there's only one that survived and that's because it's about video games so gets into constant derails.

EDIT: Also yes.

Parody of what? Yes there are people who are pretty much exactly like that. Look at /r/MensRights.

You basically just waltzed in and posted a gigantic strawman apparently not privy to the fact that people will want to set fire to it...

Am I a terrible person if I got a good laugh out of some of those?  Because a few were quite funny.

It's not a strawman when there's no misrepresentation. There are people who actually think that feminists want to castrate all men.

It's still a strawman when the statements are used as an example rather than being brushed off as standard internet dumbness.

I'm happy I held myself back during the Steam Sale. Why, you ask?

Because some games I saw on sale are on sale for a bundle right now, and they're just my style of games too (and a majority of my wishlist major wants).

Worth the 10 bucks. It'll be a trip.

So everything on the internet is obviously invalid, no matter how widespread or harmful it is.

No, I'm saying that there are entire groups that are often mocked, MRA among them, and using them as an example of how society works is somewhat disingenuous. I'm not saying there aren't problems, just that using the biggest, most irrational example of the problem is strawmanning by definition.

And you posted that in the happy thread apropos of nothing? So it's kinda flamebaity.

Why? Am I suddenly more flammable?
Methinks that was the point, actually.

I think it's more the way it says "dudes" and "women," seeming to implicate all males and females in the opinions represented. Hence the "strawman", taking an extreme and applying it in general.

+1

There are two ways to deal with stuff like that:
#1; Admit that there are idiots on the internet (because there's no IQ test to pass before posting), laugh at them and then ignore them while having serious discussion with people capable of it.
#2; Respond with equally stupid comments and watch how flaming intensifies faster than doped up descan till it reaches boiling point.
