Today is a day of cake.

The only things missing are the cake and warmth.
Is it your day of cake?

Yes.

I gave my dad the last slice of the cake we had at Christmas, so no cake for me :P
Well that's okay, as long as you're happy. Happy cakeday!

Hmmph. I guess I do have a working inferiority gland.

Me too.

I still have two claims: first, I read the entire Dune series and the Silmarillion when I was ten. I didn't find them heavy at the time, but oddly I now find Dune heavy, possibly because I knew what to expect. The other is that I learnt to read on my own from newspapers, which meant I apparently trolled my parents who didn't know I could read (I can't remember any kind of transition phase, just suddenly being able to makes sense of words). Cue hilarity such as (in a book with no pictures) my parents asking me to read out the word "rat" and me responding "mouse". Several times. Eventually they worked out that I was actually reading the page.

I complained age 3 that my sister being born meant less time for my parents to read to me, so they told me to learn to read. I did, aged 3 and a half. I read the Silmarillion, LOTR and a few other heaaaavy books at about 7. I also got a book called "the history of medicine" for my sixth birthday.

I took a long time to start reading :/
I just didn't want to, so I didn't. I even had to get extra lessons when I was in primary school. My first book was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, so nothing too heavy there. After that I kinda took off.

Hah! I did the same thing. Even down to the harry potter.

Is the dragon a dragon? The dragon should be a dragon. That would be quite the plot twist.

Doesn't he already have a bunch of those, though?

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Actual war cats (if so I didn't know they had war cats) or the Fellbeasts the Nazgul rode?

The Fellbeasts were bred from some beast in the Elder Days, IIRC. So they're not dragons.

The "dragon" is a level 10 Paladin/Blackguard hybrid with a falchion that does 11 damage at a minimum and +2 adamantium full plate. I'm considering having him arbitrarily go Inflict Moderate Wounds on some random lackey or something to show how much business he means.

And he's the halfway boss. The final boss... the final boss I have planned is just scary.

After getting into drinking tea months ago I finally got around to trying proper loose leaf, loose leaf is somewhat hard to come by here but still managed to get some. (abit they are flavored styles from "Tiesta Tea")

Quite good I have to say, much better than the tea bags I'm used to. Currently drinking some sort of white tea with pomegranate and its a lot more of a subtle tea than I'm used to, very nice though.  Last night I tried some Rooibos which I think the blend was a bit strong on the berry side of things and a bit to hard to drink to really enjoy, might try a shorter seep next time.

My inner nerd tells me, this is page #22.

Also, I had a really good time bowling today. Took me 1,5h to get how to actually hit things, but hey, at least I can bowl semi-decently now.
