It was good, but really heavy on the fight scenes. My girlfriend absolutely loved it though.

Well, it is the (full 2 hour) movie based around the big (something like one small chapter long?) final battle of the book. I'd expect it to be heavy on the fight scenes for filler. Better that than scenes of talking heads.

And I've no idea what hyped means other than seeing it in cases of excited tension while waiting.

So I've started playing a lot of CS:GO again recently, and found that there is now TF2-esque functionality with item drops and useless fucking locked crate drops. I opened a few on a whim (the keys are a bit pricy, though, $2.50 each). The second one I popped gave me a flip knife with urban masked camo pattern (yeah, the items are all weapon skins). I checked the marketplace, and that skin sells for $54, give or take a few cents. o.0

Yeah, it is pretty silly. A classmate of mine in uni got a knife worth roughly 600 bucks. I still don't understand who the hell bought it.

One of my macedwarves decided to charge an oncoming siege party before any of his friends turned up - Basically just went ham on everyone. The combat logs are filled with what I can only call the cleanest kills in DF, and his shield has just received a title because it has 14 kills to its name.

Actually talking about DF down here is a very peculiar experience.

It happens occasionally. Mostly Sergarr and Putnam on the nature of some of DF's underlying mechanics, but occasionally others. It's not that surprising, though, considering there are four or five DF boards.

Edit: speaking of DF, I am so glad that wall/floor construction is now its own unskilled labour. My massive above ground fortifications will be so much easier to manage now - no more going over everyone idling and enabling masonry!
