I'm surprised to learn that Kung Fu Jesus (Let's Player) has still been doing things. I don't really see too many old SA LPers doing anything new besides ChipCheezum and slowbeef/Diabeetus. Speaking of which, pokecapn's Sonic '06 LP is still comedic gold.

Huh. What has he been doing recently? I thought that him and the rest of the gang have been pretty quiet recently... Except for that Lightning's Return LP that seems to have vanished into nothingness.

That seems like the exact opposite of a problem to me. More settlements = more coats for the glorious motherland after all. Once those settlements are developed of course.

I just watched A Boy And His Dog.
That was one entertainingly fucked up movie. :) Also a good example of a well-done, early post-apocalyptic setting.

Been playing Dwarf Fortress, unlikely as that sounds.

Outfitted a small group of 'Royal guard' whose uniform is full steel mail, with steel plate over the top, and midnight blue cloaks and hoods over that.
They started off as a bunch of impressively well-equipped rookies, who moved at a speed of about one tile per millennia, and whose forte' was tripping in front of the enemy and then getting wailed on whilst the crossbowdwarves cleaned up.

Cut to three years later, and they're all legendary in at least three skills, decisively quick, and insanely well disciplined. I have them patrol the perimeter once a season and butcher whatever wildlife they come across.
It's like five individual one-man-armies.

This is why I play this game.

Finally beat Quake and both it's expansion packs, on Hard difficulty, before the end of the year. That was fun.

Nothing says Happy Holidays like gibbing demons and Lovecraftian horrors. I might take on Quake 2 next year, same difficulty for consistency.

Once you figure that out can you let me know too? Because I still have no idea how to run an effective economy for that game. Eventually the market bottoms out and I end up poor and pennyless. i did some testing and it turns out that you wanna get customs houses and sell in one huge batch

when you unload a ship it seemingly recalculates the price for every time you slam u and therefore after a galleon or dozen you get zeroed out

customs houses count as one giant transaction, so basically what you wanna do is wait till your trade good gets back to normal value and then slam the markets like you're saudi arabia

i'm thinking of just loading the output onto ships, sailing that over to the main port and dumping 3kt coats once the market gets back to ~7g a pop

i don't really need gold anymore though, buying specialists and higher-end ships if anything because getting that stuff on your own is godawfully slow

A strange happy, but meh. They'll be releasing the Interview on a limited basis, and say they're trying to find more platforms.

Can't help but wonder if this has all been a publicity thing, though. The amount of views will undoubtedly go up.
