The key is to not spend all money. In previous years I had next to no money and my gifts reflected that. Now I have money and can get nice things for people, but I still have plenty of money for myself

Lucky. I have to face the dreaded hardware store. And my mom doesn't really count either, sure she enjoys some nerdy things, but her wishlists are NEVER any of that sort of stuff. And my extended family... Well, either the Barbie section, or the Sporting Goods place. Maybe some Lego if I'm lucky, but I'm out of luck this year because they decided to get rid of all their Lego.

Only person I can go to EB Games shopping for is my bro. And Nintendo hasn't been releasing games at as fast a rate as previous generations, so there's not much left to pick from and choose; We still don't have Xbox or PS in our house, despite ALMOST getting an Xbox.

It doesn't matter anyways, it's all flavor-of-the-year. 2014 looks to have been the year for SJW/feminism/gender, just like... sommat or other was the year where most of the really vocal hardcore right-wingers (or trolls pretending to be right-wingers, Poe's law and all that) got banned. I'm sure 2015 will have a delightful new flavor of pointless bickering.
