I can drink ginger tea (well, not really tea; more like boiled ginger root with honey).  I can drink Sprite.  I've never been able to tolerate the taste of ginger ale.  I'm afraid that I've never seen the similarity between ginger ale and Sprite. ^_^

To be fair, the only ginger ale in the US (that's readily commercially available) is Canada Dry, so my experience is a bit limited.

Also, anyone ever eaten raw/pickled ginger? Such a strong flavor.

Ever had Sprite? It's kinda like that. Except a different somewhat sweet fizz.

I've tried Sprite. The bubbles stung and left a weird taste on my tongue, then the carbon dioxide burned my nose on the way back up. Even without the bubbles, I still don't like the taste much. (Though I can't really judge a soda well as I can only even taste more than a sip after they have lost all their bubbles.)

All the popular brands of ginger beer in Australia knock your socks off with the ginger flavor, there is definitely no mistaking it for any other drink. Even the budget brand version is still very gingery.

Sprite is my favourite soda.

Well, I always buy 7up because it is cheaper, but I've never tasted a difference.

I don't always drink soda, but when I do, it's mountain dew. Or the amazing cream soda this one restaurant makes.

In other news: Oh, so that's what happened to this week's Nostalgia Critic. Unexpected CinemaSins crossover! \o/

Take cup, add approx. 50% ginger-ale, 50% cranberry juice (not cocktail you heathen, JUICE), Profit.

I have a friend who stocks up on pickled ginger every time we go out for sushi, just sits there munching away. I don't mind it as a pallet cleanser.

There are a few places where you can get ginger beer in the US (Wegmans international section), but there arent many, thats for sure.
Ginger beer is insane, to the point where I cant really drink it.
On the other hand, ginger ale is my favorite soda, so...

3 more days, then Christmas Break initiates. Excellent. EXCELLENT!

I mean, yeah, I'm having it with my Mother and Siblings, who live in PEI. So on the 22nd, I'm taking a six hour bus trip.

But still! Almost done!

Ah Cananda. Yes, one of our provinces is a tiny island in the ocean, and yes, of course you can drive there.

When will the US get around to that bridge to Hawaii?
