That moment when you get band names confused and buy the wrong band's merch... and then the band whose merch you end up with (who you have never heard before) turns out to be really damn good, as good or possibly better than the first band. :D

Dark Souls:

Probably the thing that's sold me the most is the surreal sense of exploration that I just can't get over. You go into an area you that might surmise to be 'about yay big', but then it opens up a bit and you're expectation is bent to accommodate it, and then it opens up to be much bigger and your expectation is bent again, and then it REALLY OPENS UP and your expectation is shattered and my mind is blown. The sense of genuine adventure scratches an itch I've so badly wanted scratched for so long. The difficulty is just icing on the cake.

Though it might be a bit more than icing, now that I've acquired the Lordvessel and the game requires that I kill four super bosses. I've so far 'reached' three of them, but I've been forced to hard-nope out of all of them or else face repeated fucking of my undead body. Jesus Christ, when the game wants to beat the shit outta you, it doesn't hold back.

I have acquired the Elder Scrolls Anthology. My grandparents gave it to me as a late birthday present or something, and I can't thank them enough because holy fuck I've got all the elder scrolls games and all the expansions and they're all on disk so I don't have to download them aaaaah
