Good news: Gold is about a thousand two hundred per ounce right now.

Bad news: Pretty sure people don't buy it in such small quantities, so you'd have bad luck finding someone who wants an ounce of gold.

Worse news: I don't think you'll get an ounce of gold out of that.

In any case I figure out how much the gold is worth by weight, stamp it into a coin with a hole in it and wear it as a necklace to show I acctualy did something cool in school

No I'm taking the RAM, processor, and hard drive (hard drive is being destroyed but not for gold more for security reasons) out of roughly 200 desktops and dropping them in several chemical baths till I get hopefully a couple ounces of gold

A couple ounces of gold = a couple thousand dollars
