I beat Dragon's Dogma for the 5th time.
I feel like, I can now say for certain, that the ending is one of the best ends of a story I've ever experienced.
It's one of those things that just happy and sad at the same time. Even the words on the final two loading screens do their part in making it so much better.
I also got to beat up a loli for the last boss this time around so that's cool.

+1

I was in tears at how beautiful the ending was. Everything just CLICKED.

Yeah, that game was fermented shit. But hilarious nonetheless, as long as YOU aren't the one playing it.

On my way back in high spirits, hands tucked into the warmth of my longcoat in the lakeside amber light of the street lamps hurrying home for a mug of tea.
Update on tea: Accidentally sat on tea, arse very burnt as a consequence. Regretful life choices were made, but tea was salvaged.
How. How do you manage to sit on a tea?
...Mistakes were made.

Finished my Rainmeter skin :D

Not bad. I have a Rainmeter setup that takes advantage of Electric Sheep as an animating background (Made my own BAT file to make it work as intended). I've legitimately Hollywoodified my computer. But I leave it optional (along with several other optional startup programs that aren't immediate startups, but immediately available at the start just in case), since it takes up a bit of processing power that could otherwise go towards something more useful.

For the Electric Sheep background: (BAT file)
Code: [Select]
@echo off
start es.scr /p65552
exit
You can close the Electric Sheep animating desktop with ALT-F4 at any time (provided you selected it, by either clicking on the screensaver tab or fractals/flames first). So it's also a screensaver you can call up by will (applies to most-other screensavers as well. I think even the BSOD prank one too), and won't auto-close when moving the mouse. Heck, you can even ALT-TAB or hit the Windows key to keep doing things with the animating desktop background going on. Play some music and enjoy the show for a bit while at it. Show Desktop even brings you back to your icon-riddled desktop. Just select Electric Sheep again to bring the cleaner desktop overlay back up without rebooting it. Screensaver settings can still be applied as you see fit within it's settings, and it'll work with this still.

And to boot it up before Rainmeter so everything from Rainmeter is properly overlaid on top of that and quickly: (Another BAT file)
Code: [Select]
@echo off

start {Directory}\ES.lnk  //Electric Sheep BAT file mentioned above's shortcut
start {Directory}\RM.lnk  //Rainmeter shortcut
exit
Directories redacted, but pretty much the gist of it. Really simple.

Been playing through FEAR 2 for the first time, given I never got around to playing it back when it was new. Ill admit I wasn't expecting it to be as fun as it's been so far. Given some of the complaints I heard.

Pretty solid game so far. I don't know about everyone else but it feels like a good sequel to me.

FEAR 2 is good. Better than F3AR I think.

I don't understand any of these or how they work D:

Um...where does this all start? ._.
Download the Electric Sheep screensaver, then copy the text in the box into a text file, and rename it from .txt to .bat. Accept the filetype change, and run it.

The lower one requires a little tinkering; but only by keeping the shortcuts nearby, or in a small enough directory listing like C:\__OTHER\ES-BG.bat and copy a shortcut for Rainmeter into the same directory, rename it to RM.lnk to keep it simple, and modify the RM.lnk's portion into the same directory (C:\__OTHER\RM.lnk).

So in that case, copy, just like above, into a txt file, and rename it into a bat file:
Code: [Select]
@echo off

start C:\__OTHER\ES.bat
start C:\__OTHER\RM.lnk
exit
And bingo, now you have it.
