It is indeed very anime, but it's still shaping up to be a pretty mature story set in the early days of a fantasy!World War II. I'm only a few hours in and I'm already spotting the makings of a fantasy!Holocaust, what with a marginalized group of people being the targets of bigotry, both by enemy and allied forces.

Playing Valkyria Chronicles. It is awesome tactical goodness with the threat of permanent character death to keep me on my toes. And it has at least one Skies of Arcadia character! \o/

So glad this came to PC.

I did say Skies of Arcadia! And Vyse is a soldier in Valkyria Chronicles! Has the eyepatch thing and the scar and everything
There's also mention of a soldier named Aika, so I'm hoping that she's in the game as well. Until Sega gets around to finally making Skies of Arcadia 2, this is the next best thing.

It has all three main characters actually.  Aika is a Scout and she has some of the best non-Alicia stats.  Fina is the unnamed Medic.

The only other thing close to Skies of Arcadia is the stage in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, I've long given up hope on Skies of Arcadia 2.

Dream brain did it again. Today, the most amazing of things was watching the inestimable Ogre Summoning Spell in action.

The ogre summoning spell consists of grabbing a creature smaller than you and throwing it over a building. Hope that witch had featherfall >_>

So I've been kinda upset over something for over a month and haven't really managed to concentrate or get anything done in that time.

But I just read an internet argument about something stupid which I actually managed to forget by now, but I got the overwhelming to just shout at them. I wanted to tell them that there's already plenty of shit in the world without being petty about unimportant things.

I decided to take my own advice. There's not much of a point in obsessing over things that went wrong, when there's plenty of more important things to do. I'm gonna go work out a bit now and then try to get some programming done. I don't know if this mood will last, but it's good to feel free again.

I was watching a great movie (The Drop), when I realized that I kept comparing it to a Fiasco game.
It's nice to see that a game system works so well in it's intended purpose that you can't help but implement the rules in other things.

I just realized I can transfer my profits from the stocks I sold today into my (underused)tax free savings account.  I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier.  Tax free is way better than Tax full.

So this is a thing that's happening in six months.

To explain it a bit, it's basically a large number of awesome people from the entertainment industry, more specifically artists. A certain number of which are a big inspiration for me and I would just fucking love to see them work live and talk to them and all that shit. Heck, if I'm soooper lucky the suprise guests might turn out to be Syd Mead or Scott Robertson, at which point I'd probably get a stroke from excitement.

The only downside is that I need 350€ for the ticket.

Anyone need a kidney or some cheaply made digital art? Cause I'd totally do that stuff for this.
