I refuse to go to Walmart. It's made easier by the fact that Walmart isn't allowed within the Seattle city limits. I also refuse to go to GameStop.

There's a local retro game store chain around here called Pink Gorilla that gets a lot of my money. I don't play modern console games too much anymore anyway. I like them because they're this small chain that's really laid back and usually has really great friendly employees that I always manage to have awesome conversations with whenever I show up.

Also, yea, Walmart is literally outlawed here because they drive all the small businesses away.

Depending on where he lives, there may not be many options. I've always been anti-Walmart, but where I'm at now, the nearest Target is 25 minutes away (as is the nearest GameStop). Walmart is like 8 minutes away.

And they're hella cheap for a lot of things, which is important when you're hella broke.

This is pretty much accurate. I saw some footage from AC Unity and it looked about the same if not worse than Black Flag. I still have yet to see a game on the PS4 that was more impressive than one on the PS3, and the bar is set at The Last of Us.

Also, 32 times the RAM to work with is nothing to sneeze at.

Also, AC Unity is infamously shit in terms of graphics and optimization. Seriously, it's to the level that Ubisoft is as reviled as EA now for putting out shit and expecting people to buy it.

In fairness, compare an early Xbox 360/PS3 game like Perfect Dark Zero to say, Bioshock Infinite or the Witcher 2.  Early games will always look worse until companies figure out how to work with the new platform.

But yes, waiting a bit until a "killer app" comes out to get the newer consoles is usually a good idea.
