But it isn't finite! That encompasses everything due to a lack of a boundary.
0 to 1 does not encompass everything. Really.
Wait, that example. I thought you were referring to the one I quoted.

Ah, but you did quote it.
I thought there were twice as many real numbers between 0 and 1 and 0 and 2.
INFINITY KNOWS NO BOUNDS.

I'll claim my e-peen extension now.

Infinity times two is still infinity. I think.

Numbers are weird.
But it's twice as big of an infinity! That's an important distinction. Or should be, as I see it,

It's not. They're the same size of infinity.

Correct you are. Number theory isn't really my thing.

You can have different infinite sets.

When you add them together, they are still infinite sets.

And by definition of infinite, the newly formed set, while an amalgamation of the first two sets, is the same size as the sets that created it.

[math]
Infinity doesn't mean 'everything'. It just means that there's no number that is equal to the 'number' of your set's elements, the set in question being the interval (0,1) or (0,2) or the set of all real numbers.
We say two sets A and B have the same cardinality (have the same 'number' of elements/are of equal size) if we find a function f from A to B such that for for each element b in B there's exactly one element a in A such that f(a) = b, that is, f is bijective. Take, for example, f(x) = arctan((x-1/2)*pi). This function is bijective since it is strictly monotonous (always increasing) and maps (0,1) to all real numbers, showing that (0,1) has the same cardinality (is exactly as large as) the set of all real numbers.
For further infinity weirdness, go check out Hilbert's hotel.

Layman's terms:
You can have an infinite number of decimal places, therefor there are an infinite amount of numbers between 0 and 1. The same would apply for 0 to 2. You could probably have 2x infinity but then we're opening a whole other can of worms that most people don't even want to get into.

Did I do it right?

I just recently daydreamed up a movie script. The premise: A lonely man who's an awful and awkward conversationalist creates a smartphone with an AI ala Cleverbot, and he somehow manages to get it's phone number into the hands of a girl he likes, and the whole rest of the movie is him trying to maintain the illusion that it's actually him that she's talking. The guy has to read their chat logs and this leads to wacky hijinx of him trying to impersonate the barely human but astoundingly flirtatious personality he created just so she doesn't catch on that they're different.

Then in the end, the truth is discovered, they fall in love anyway, and the AI achieves sentience and goes Skynet on the rest of humanity, rendering their love moot.

Too soon. Wait until people forget Her.

Oh man, I actually didn't even know that that movie existed. Wikipedia synopsis for it has me feeling depressed.
Pretty much in a nutshell. American-only release despite having Scarlett Johansson? Why?

I caused an entire page of math.
... And yet Vector hasn't shown...

You do not want to hear me sing, though I could acompany on piano, since I'm taking it back up after a hiatus.
