Dump-stat is your lowest stat. It's the one you "dumped", or didn't bother with.

Strength is optimal dumpstat, trust me on this. Unless you hit things with a sharpened bit of metal. Or your fists I guess. Substituting other stats for damage can be a bit of a pain, I grant.

Meanwhile I think it's clear that MZ's a variant on the Arseplomancer* that uses Perform (Martial Arts) instead of Escape Artist.

*A build that utilizes the Exemplar prestige class to substitute any other skill for a Diplomacy check, and uses an enormous skill modifier to make people instantly Fanatic simply by virtue of having seen a performance. The original used Escape Artist to, uh, climb inside a person and then use a spell to grow in size, allowing them to, ah, burst their enclosure with a Strength check. None of this is actually necessary to the trick, beyond the Escape Artist check, but sometimes character optimization's punchline is "The Aristocrats!"

Point being, MZ's a much less horrifying and much more legitimately impressive take on the class feature.
