Yeah, Angel Beats is pretty strange-funny in spots, but on the whole is overwhelmingly sad. The closest you get to non-comedy happy is the bittersweet ending and the post-credit-roll tease.

Haven't been on in a while, but I may as well drop in to squeal about something.

I decided to go on a little nostalgia kick for a certain old game... ahem, I'm terrible at being subtle. Okay, so, I'm replaying Tales of Eternia.
I beat it quite some time ago, started a new run and then I think I got distracted by something else, idk. Point being. I forgot how much I loved this game.
And I also went and rewatched the anime (after finishing disc 1), because I remembered liking the anime. Which is really freaking weird because its plot is silly and only one of the characters was really that memorable but goddammit she is the best thing ever.

Guess what, no surprise, I still definitely enjoyed the anime. And I still love Marone.

So yes, I am currently on an Eternia high.

Got Crusader Kings II + what appears to be 21 expansions/whatever for $16

Bloody hell, I checked that out thinking I might finally pick up the missing dlc but paradox is still being paradox.

The actual big dlc like the old gods and rajahs is not included in the "collection"...

Team up with two friends to get the mixed pack so you can each have 2 health and 2 mana potions. Then once you've drank out of it each the bottle out and refill it with water mixed with a little red or blue food coloring for use as a water bottle. For bonus points craft yourself a belt or backpack attachment that can hold them easily while you walk around.

Kirby Air Ride's City Trial mode and Super Smash Bros on 3DS's Smash Run are both very similar games that fit into the genre pretty well. There's a focus on increasing statistics in order to reach an objective. Unless you decide to define the genre as "3-lane versus humans creep-killing gold-and-experience-getting building-destroying hero-unit-based third-person strategy game", they fit. Ha!

Plus, I think Kirby Air Ride may have come out a bit before Dota (I don't know the date of Dota's first release more specifically than "2002"), though Aeon of Strife still has it beat.
