Jack Black is starting to seem kinda stale now.

Kung Foo Panda was probably my favourite movie with him in it.
Only now do I realize that's only because he never sings and he never does dumb hand gestures, whilst singing.

There are currently 3 dark red moruga trinidad scorpion peppers in my freezer. The next time I make chili, it will be the manliest chili ever.

How I read it. Shuddered afterwards.

I almost read it that way too. When I read freezer, though, I went back and saw the peppers part.
(My brain refused to believe he had scorpions in his freezer, I didn't even GET to the chili portion before I reread)

Do all crazy hot peppers have long, intimidating names like that? I'm tempted to search for a random pepper name generator, but I could do a serviceable job myself:

-Nicaraguan Night Terror Pepper
-40 Deaths through disembowelment Pepper
-Beelzebub's Blazing Dark instantaneous suicide pepper

and etcetera and etcetera.

My father's special home-made hot sauce has habaneros as the main ingredient.

We once bought a habanero hot sauce. It was billed as "Hot Sauce From Hell", that was it's NAME.
The must have really diluted it, because Tabasco sauce was hotter than that.

On account of my dad living a couple hundred kilometers and two seas away from me, I just had a birthday-party-a-month-late. He also seems to have found an, um, 'unofficial' SO that, for once, does not have Issues (TM) and/or is passive-aggressive towards me for now reason, which is a strange mixture of sad, happy and WTF and many different things.

So a fun evening of trying to remember songs for the guitar, two Poles talking in English to each other, music-listening and Billy Connoly/Stephen Fry-watching was had, and I got a top hat that makes me look like Slash's Puritan half-brother.


And re: chillis, my dad loves those, and when I was a kid, he once gave me one to try.

So I bit it, chewed it, swallowed it... Nothing. Another bite... nope. My dad's amazed, we're talking about showing this off to my grandparents who were supposed to come over the next day.

Another bite. And another. Still nothing.

So I bite down, get the seeds in my mouth and OHGODMYTHROATISMELTIIIIIING! It took me probably the next 30 minutes to get rid of the burning.

Two people. Rock Off. Versus Satan.

Best part of that whole movie.

The entire movie was the best part of the movie.

I dunno... I was actually pretty disappointed with it, and I love Tenacious D.  It had its moments, but felt lackluster as a whole.  The best of the movie is in the soundtrack.  I absolutely love Kickapoo, Master Exploder, and Beelzeboss, but just listening to the songs is better than watching them.  The music was epic, and the visuals just felt cheap by comparison (except maybe the Master Exploder bit).

Funny story.  My first kid was less than two years old when we went to see that movie.  We went to the last showing of the night at the last theater that still had it.  Our kid was asleep, and a deep enough sleeper that he was unlikely to wake up.  The theater turned us away because it was an R-rated movie, and it was after 7 pm.  We talked with them about it, and apparently they have some bizarre rule that says parents can bring their kids into an R-Rated movie before 7 pm but not after.  If I'd been a Bay12er at the time, that would have gone straight to the WTF thread.
