Hasn't 5e actually done something about the whole 'linear warriors, quadratic wizards' problem?

Ehh, I wouldn't say it's exactly fixed that. It's distinctly ramped up the resource-management aspect to castering, though, and locked the entire campaign down to less high-fantasy bullshit, but wizards still have much more powerful actions and access to the things that make the plot tick, while warriors are still basically just guys swinging metal sticks at any given level. It does seem to have mitigated it a bit, and overall the system is probably a distinctly better base than 3.5 for building onto.

That's probably my review - it's actually pretty good, it's just that it still clings to some paradigms I don't like.

So I just watched Guardians of the Galaxy.  It was PRETTY DAMN GOOD.

Stuff near the end just seemed a bit... uh... comic-booky?  The impromptu "Dance Off" seemed just so out of place.
Also I now assume that Peter's father is Doctor Who.  NOTHING ELSE MAKES AS MUCH SENSE.
