Chinese Whispers in Mocking Birds? Cool.

That's awesome.
There's a family story of how, when my half-siblings were kids, one of my brothers had a pet cockatoo which he kept in a cage outside his bedroom. Every morning our mother would go up there and shout through the door for him to get up, that it was time for school.
One day, she walked up there as usual and was just drawing breath to start shouting, when the cockatoo burst out with a pitch-perfect imitation of her voice, telling him to get up, he was going to be late for school. Hehe. Not the only weird cockatoo story my family has, either.

Best cockatoo. I want me a parakeet though. Those things are adorable and have the nicest little finger nibbles.

I'm not sure what kind of pet bird I'd want to have. *shrug*
Not like I can have one at the moment, anyway. Lorikeets are pretty cool... we had one for a while when I was a kid, and it was a sneaky evil bastard that broke out of its cage and tried to eat the newborn chicks we had in another cage nearby, haha. We caught it on the perch in their cage, shuffling menacingly along towards them as they (there were two of them) shuffled just as quickly away from it, cheeping in terror.
Somehow he'd managed to reach through the bars of their cage and undo the latch. It was impressive.

When I was younger I wanted to be a falconer.  Peregrine Falcons are the best animal to ever exist.
