Awesomenauts. It's fun, that!
I actually do kinda well (by my standards) if I have a computer that can run it.

That sucks. Though it's not really a very hardware-wrecking game, but still. :C
Also, I'm hyped for the entire patch 2.6:

- profile screens that track your individual 'naut performances, check
- new bots made by the community (they wreck even the scrub like me - how often do you lose against a team whose Clunk bot goes 22/4?)
- AI Station 205 (two lanes and flamethrowers, aw yiss!) that replaces the old, broken one-lane AI Station 404 in online matchmaking (the old one still stays for the sake of private games)
- a new shop system where you buy all your upgrades (still only 3 per row) in-match instead of choosing them before it starts - so yay for the rise of situational items!
- and of course, 3 new skins (like the Grim Genji I showed), all of which are the top 3 winners of a community design-a-skin contest (okay, the other two are yet to be revealed publicly but were discovered in the files via the power of datamining, as well as being (barely) shown on a livestream and apparently one player even received a replay (for bot testing purposes) where the player was using a new skin)

So yeah, much fun to be had there. And the next beta update is coming this Friday. Woop woop.


I should get around to making the proper Awesomenauts thread once the new patch hits, seems like a good time. (I also said that when 2.3 came out, and when 2.4 was released, and once again around 2.5...Yeah.)

Considering how it was only uphill from accepting death and worthlessness to finding purpose again. And it's clear what's his face Andy didn't give a shit about them anymore bar Woody so him giving away them all wasn't really that hard on him bar Woody, and even then it was a really silly scene.

To be fair, Toy Story was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. It's a fond childhood memory. Now I'm about to start college. Dude in Toy Story was a kid in the first two movies. Now he's going to college and moving on. See the connection?

As for the part where it seems like everyone's gonna die, I was honestly too skeptical that it would end like that to feel bad. The entire time they were all grabbing each others' hands I was practically shouting "oh come on!" at the screen.

Went to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie at work today. Was pretty darned good, and further cements Marvel's lead over DC in the realm of movies. At this point, they seem pretty well set up for infinite good movies into the foreseeable future; especially since CG finally lets people make these sorts of movies without descending into camp silliness or pure corn.

And, uh, meanwhile DC is still at the operating table attempting to revive their superman movies by repeatedly using defibrillators on them while desperately hoping for any sign of life.
