Saint-Petersburg's most notorious boutique, "Babochka", is running a 70% sale! It's amazing, I bet I paid only 200% of the actual cost of my new Faconnable crewneck jumper. Pics will follow soon.

Either I have my numerical parser wrong or...you paid twice the amount of the actual cost..?

Either way, grats :D

Happy: Sad right now but I listen to the darkness of the early morning midnight. Amidst the tapping of the raindrops above, there's an owl calling in the distance.
It's peaceful. I am happy to have a roof over my head in these cold and rainy times.

200% of what he'd pay at another shop, I guess.

Or maybe 200% of the original price, when it was manufactured.
For that you'd need a couple extra zeroes.

No, see, that's why the sale is so amazing.

Not with 70% off, at least. And Omega is right, 30% of a luxury good's price in Russia is still 200% of it's original production and delivery cost.

I just realized that a change in creature behavior in one of my Dwarf Fortress mods, originally intended for aesthetic entertainment, has made it so that evil tropical flatlands could be a lot more Fun than before!

Naturally, I am using it to my advantage.

In city: 'I wish I lived in the countryside. It's so peaceful there...'
In countryside: 'Oh, I wish I lived in a city. There's nothing to do here.'
What about if you're in space? Dunh dunh duuuun

I live in the country and have absolutely no intention of going anywhere near a city.

In countryside: 'Oh, I wish I lived in a city. There's nothing to do here.'
And then there are the suburbs - the worst of all possible worlds.

I kid, of course, but I do miss living in the second-closest thing this state has to a city, and I can't say I've ever felt a yearning to do anything in the country but visit.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I got the best of both worlds. I live in a small town where everything is within staggering distance, and there's fuck all to do!
