Just wait till the end. Then all that choice making you've been saving up for 3 games will suddenly be ignored in exchange for a choose-your-lightshow color button. And the only sane choice just dooms the universe, because its actually a thinly veiled metaphor.

The Reapers represent EA, a massive conglomerate that controls everything and likes to abuse its power and screw everyone over. The Reapers built the 3 magic lightshow buttons that can "defeat" them, and the only choice one could expect a sane person to make when their enemies give them three choices, I.E. ignore them and shoot them (which was added in the "fixing" of the ending), results in the universe getting ended again.

So basically EA is saying "you get to pick from what we first gave you, or you get the bad end"
