I actually haven't played a SSB game before, but I do have Melee.

Not sure I'd want a 3DS version of SSB; I mean, the system is a good deal less powerful than the Wii U and I've noticed slowdown in a couple of the games I own. I can only imagine how bad it might get when 4 characters are flinging projectiles and particle effects around everywhere.

Then again, I don't have a Wii U and can't see myself spending so much money on one for a single game :/

Yeah, I imagine it will be annoying having to use the small, close-set buttons if nothing else.
