Personally I much prefer dogs and puppies to babbehs.

I don't know why, but babies just kind of look... disconcerting to me.

And it's funny, I realize that I probably find things cute, cute, because they have the same proportions as babies do and blah blah blah evolutionary psychology :V but the thing that that was originally meant for, to make me feel protective and find cute, I'm just kind of like... "What do I do with it? Does it know any tricks?"

But I don't think anyone here was saying "I hate babbehs and that makes me super awesome and likeable" so I don't know why y'all got all riled up over it.

We're allowed to comment our feelings on something, especially if it's a general thing like "babbies," instead of a specific event. "My kid has been born!" "FUCK YOUR KID I HATE CHILDREN" is a little more... Blooh. But for a general happy, I find nothing wrong with voicing our feelings, including those of dislike or whatever you want to call it. :v Or at least, that's how I view this thread: Someone brings up a happy, and then we talk about it, until it dies down and someone pops up a new happy, and you don't need to feel happy about the happy to discuss it. Or else it turns into a hug-box and we become Pinterest or something.

Just finished round-baling 61 bales, phew, of course the last bloody bale and the net wrap thing had to fuck up and force a bunch of dicking around for a bit.

Know what you mean.

At least, here at least, it's perfect weather for it.

If anyone attempt to cause that future to come to pass, they may join the people on the nice ornaments along the road.

Even clones have to be born from a womb, at least at this point. Even if it's computer guided (hint, you mostly need electricity, rather than computers, until you start monkeying with specific pieces of DNA,) you still have to grow the clone somehow, and at some point during that procedure, there will be a baby.

Now I'm kinda jealous. That looks tasty. And relaxing.

I think there's also the fact that they tend to inspire, like... extreme emotional reactions in people? They're incredibly important and valuable to people emotionally and culturally, so when you're one of the people who just sees them as kind of unpleasent demi-people it's highly disconcerting to see the way they can influence people just by existing. They're also fragile, so if someone suddenly hands you one it's terrifying because what will happen if you screw up and break it?

That's why babies are scary, IMO.

I am filled with an excessive amount of barbecued chicken.

Also I tried tongue tacos and tripe tacos today and they were pretty good. Tripe was a bit on the crispy side for what I like in a taco though.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
