Shadar Logoth is quite a nice place, actually. I'm not sure why everyone gives it such a bad reputation. Detroit, however, not so much.

Edit: I should point out that I've never actually been to Detroit.

I have. It's worse than advertised. Mostly because you can't show inner city Detroit in advertisements without breaking a metric fuckton of laws.
