Revised budget projections indicate that I only need to conjure $18,000, post-tax, to do this grad school thing for two years. This is a lot, but I haven't yet counted my retirement plan payout and final paycheck because I don't know how much they'll really be, but my estimates peg that at ~$14,000 post-tax. The remainder is actually a plausible payout for a summer job in between, so there might not be as much need for panic as I thought. Still, financial lockdown continues and may manage to bring my average monthly spending on trading cards back down to successful levels for the Behemoths thread, by the end of the year.

Today's happy so far: Found the name of an obscure TV show I liked as a kid, which I could barely remember anything about.
It's called Insektors. I didn't even have to call my mother and get her to rummage through all the VHS tapes of cartoons mouldering in boxes under her house! Now I'll have to watch it sometime, since I spent hours searching for it online.

I just found an insect in my room. Then I bludgeoned it to death with a broken arrow. Now I may sleep peacefully.
