Silly Graknorke, Filch isn't a teacher. He's more like a hall monitor or possibly just a crazy homeless guy they let live in the school.

I'm not actually sure what his job is, but I'm pretty sure he never taught any classes.

Thanks to XKCD I learned of a ship.  Crewed by either exceptionally brave or exceptionally stupid people.

On 27 August the now obsolete Glasgow, the sole vessel of the Zanzibar Navy, fired upon a flotilla of five British ships, led by the cruiser HMS St George with its 9.2 inch guns.[6] In return Glasgow was holed below her waterline and began sinking.

So if I'm seeing this right, this is a single OUTDATED WOODEN SAILING ship  (I suppose it did have one steam engine) fired on 5 metal hulled British engine powered ships.

It was sunk.  And the crew surrendered after the ship was crippled, but holy shit the balls on the Zanzibar Navy.

It was a war, so it should be a sad I suppose, but I got a little chuckle out of it.
