I'm not sure, but I think the game can tell if you change the system time and will call you out on it.
I was stuck in a hotel room for a few days when I played Hate Plus, so it didn't bother me any :v

It's set in the same universe and afterwards and because of the subject matter the events are intrinsically tied to the events of Digital.
