... /tg/ just convinced me that FATAL has a purpose. What I just read was one of the silliest RPG stories I've ever seen. I never expected examples of play to be as entertaining as the existence of the rules themselves. Of course, I'm still laughing at the system rather than with it, but still.

So wait... because all the ingredients are reusable, it can be cast as many times as you want?  Or is the joke the way it gets cast?

Yeah, the joke is the way it gets cast. I'm pretty sure the contraption isn't in the rules, just the ingredients, and the silliness is in the way they were combined to maximize efficiency. It's just a funny mental image, really.

Ergh. My geography teacher did that once. I wrote out some geography notes on case studies, waterfalls, coasts etc. and she asked to see them, to make sure I had everything in them. Next day they were handed out in a separate class from mine (A friend showed them to me.) And she didn't even ask. It really irritated me.

I'm pretty sure that kinda thing can be done in DND alikes that AREN'T primarily based on the assumption the players are closet rapists.

Also I want a link to whatever story this came from, because it sounds amazing.

It's a student. Legal machinery might even have to come into play.

I really, really would want to know what was going through his mind at the time. It's badly done over-the-shoulders plagiarism. In a programming exam. Syntax errors everywhere.
