i found the best game soundtrack you guuuys
This music really sounds like it'd be 500x better in proper context.
Man, I love Nintendo RPGs. (for lack of a better term, please don't kill me for this)
Speaking of which, I recently have been playing through a very environmental sandboxy puzzle game called Kairo, which is also supposed to be somewhat creepy and enlightening or something. After having beaten it, and 100% it as well, I decided to give into a whim, and play the soundtrack to Super Laser Racer along with the game. Needless to say, the experience is awesome.
Pictures and commentary + detailsI also played the link ME posted, and once again the context of the game changed from puzzle game to nightclub simulator to RPG trailer taken to 11. I want to see what other combinations like this exist. I consider this a crazy-awesome thing to stumble upon. Oh, how much different music makes a difference; and in some cases, the music and noise native to the game added to the music making it even more awesome.
I felt like I was having flashbacks of some old dreams I've had.
EDIT:
Switched to Hip-Hop music, and the spinny room is that much more awesome, and it all feels like it ties together extremely well. This is too much like my dreams; cool environments, awesome music.
This (style of music) also works wonderfully.EDIT EDIT:
Fuck yeah. I just remembered/realized. This game allows for Oculus Mode. I think I now have myself an environment to listen to music within that's not all fun 'n' games like Sounddodger+ and Audiosurf; but I can wander without going anywhere; and unlike Reality, I get to check out environments that define the term exotic.
I would rate the experience as: As awesome as watching Electric Sheep to the same playlists.
