Mission 12 in ER is coming to an end. Despite the heavy losses, I think we did good, all things considered. Only superficial damage to the surface assets, subterranean infrastructure all secure, the Sword is undamaged. Too bad we probably won't be able to hang on to any of the ships we boarded, but eh, at least that fleet is gone.

Only lose end is that Shadow Walker or Urban executioner still lurking in the populace somewhere, hopefully he can be rooted out soon.

No, fortunately kidding.    But it ended with an almost palpably platonic hug - but then, I suspect my perspective is somewhat coloured by past experience here, so I might be misinterpreting this.  I'm still going to ask if she'd like to go out again, but I think my expectations have been lowered somewhat.  Le sigh.

I've bee digging the "German Motown" style they've been using musically in the trailers. Somewhat historically implausible, but fun.

Gotta say, waiting 3+ hours for your next assignment is a lot more tolerable when you can set the engine to idle, crank up the AC, get the music going, and retreat to the cool semi-darkness of the sleeper berth. As opposed to the last truck I was using where you really couldn't do that sort of thing...
