Isn't it interesting how, with the big exceptions of Russia and Japan, there is a (weak?) correlation between average 'fuel tank' size and standard of living?

Relevant and a happy.

It's hilarious. The correlation is so high!

It's a cute site, though on the second page I stumbled across this one: http://www.tylervigen.com/view_correlation?id=2244

EDIT: Here's another http://www.tylervigen.com/view_correlation?id=3441

Also apparently the number of people who died by becoming tangled in their bed sheets, correlates to the number of people who died falling out of bed. And the amount of people who have starved to death in the US inversely correlates to the amount of sour cream consumed.

Clearly to solve the energy crisis we simply pay Nic Cage to have an extra part in every movie from hollywood blockbuster to home vacation videos.  That will cause the number of people who drown in pools to skyrocket and send our nuclear energy output through the roof.

Cloning may be necessary, but research must be done first to see if that counts.

Soon the world will be full of vacation videos where people are recorded drowning in hotel swimming pools while the Cageman looks on.  But hey, free energy!

Divorce rates in Iowa correlate strongly to margarine consumption. But have an inverse correlation to sour cream and mozzarella consumption. Though the strongest inverse correlation is to the cost of potato chips.

In many places, margarine correlates to both marriage and divorce rates. Clearly, it just speeds the process along.

In Washington DC, low banana prices correlate strongly to marriage rates.

Damn, no hindi.
Though maybe I should learn sanskrit. I've always been curious about what the original texts of these Indian books said.

Do you know Latin or Greek? Greek and Sanskrit are both Latin on hard mode...Sanskrit isn't really much harder than Greek. Just hard in different ways.

(Also, almost every vowel is a or has an a hiding under the surface. This is hella annoying when you're trying to memorize the endings.)
I'm more familiar with sanskrit than those other languages from memorizing Gita verses.

Walked into the city to get myself a burrito for dinner, which I'm eating now.
The trip made me strangely happy, mixed with moments of nostalgia for some reason. I mean, sure, I walked past the hospital I was born in, but I've done that plenty of times in the past without feeling like this.

Maybe it's just because I haven't taken this route in a while. Also everything smells strangely nice tonight. I almost walked into someone who stopped suddenly while I was looking away, but smelled them in time to turn around and correct my course and avoid them.

Phew. Close. If you'd bumped into him, people may have got to see a murder.

Travel, travel, travel. I'm looking forward to Taiwan, not so much to having to fly over the Pacific Ocean in about five hours.
