Well, no, not really.

We don't understand dark energy, and more importantly, cannot use it in any way, shape, or form. Therefore it's not magic, but instead is some sort of deity or God.

Magic would be our thundersticks and telepathy, as well as our metal dragons and fire-breath cavalry.
